Last night I watched Adrenalin, a documentary about the history of BMW touring cars.
The film is a 2 hour trip through BMWs archives, featuring Art Cars, the original 2000tii's and even a segment on the M1 Pro Car series, through their 24hr exploits, the DTM, and a long segment on the original E30 M3. There are interviews with a huge array of drivers, from the guys who were racing back in the 60s and 70s, Stuck, Winklehock, Cecotto, Soper, right up to the current crop of guys, Priaulx, Farfus, Spengler and Wittman et al.
I wont give too much away about the interviews, as some of them are quite funny, but they really show the camaraderie of racers back in the 70s and 80s, with them always talking about pranking each other, and hanging around after race weekends.
Picking one highlight is really tough, with some awesome footage of M1s at Monaco, and even the modern DTM looks amazing in this film, but highlight for me was the wonderful super-slo mos of the ITC era, with M3s facing 190Es, Seirra's and Quattros on the some awesome tracks. The Nordschliefe really was a fearsome place, and that era of cars, airborne over Flugplatz is pretty special.

The film is available on Blu ray and DVD (though Blu Ray really makes the slo mo stuff just so good!!) and thankfully does feature english subtitles, or even an english narrator over the guys who are interviewed in German.
Well worth a watch if anyone is even remotely interested in this type of racing.

No, when you play it, you can have german, german with english subtitles, or an english voiceover over the bits that are in german.
About 50% of it is in english anyway.

I got the bluray a couple weeks ago through the help of my German friend. Absolutely loved it and you're so right about the awesomeness of the slow motion. Fantastic film!
Speaking of...I think it's about time to watch it again.
Did you check out the shorter "special features" films?
